about us
Makin’ Bacon began as a single food truck in the summer of 2014 as a way to spread the love of bacon across the Great Lakes Bay region. Offering breakfast, lunches, dinners, and treats, Makin’ Bacon serves our customers a variety of delicious homemade foods.
In June of 2018, we opened a booth at the SVRC Marketplace in downtown Saginaw. Our delicious fare is available Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm all year round.

We use locally produced ingredients whenever possible, and believe in our mission to celebrate, shop, and support all local businesses.
Makin' History
Nick and Barbara Christophilopoulos have always loved bacon. When Nick’s office job just wasn’t giving him the joy in life he knew he deserved, he pitched the idea of a bacon-themed eatery to his wife. Barbara, after some cajoling, was convinced, and history was made. The pair set out to bring bacon to the masses with a food truck.
With crowds gathering around the truck so often, and the popularity of their food growing, Nick and Barbara decided to branch out and secure a storefront location for their delectable delicacies. In 2018, when the SVRC Marketplace in downtown Saginaw opened, so did the Makin’ Bacon Market Café. With both the truck and Café, followers of Makin’ Bacon can find bacony goodness around the area every day. Even better, Makin' Bacon offers catering options for a variety of needs.
